Clarice Assad & Gabriele Mirabassi

Clarice Assad (Chicago/USA) and Gabriele Mirabassi (Perugia/Italy) perform together: composer, pianist and vocalist Assad combines her voice with piano and electronics, while Mirabassi brings lyrical expression and virtuosity on the clarinet. The programme features original compositions, Brazilian classics and improvisations.

The evening opens with the Caleidon Vokalensemble under the direction of Johannes Honecker performing Clarice Assad's choral suite "Aos moços" (To the Youth) to texts by Cora Coralina - a plea for hope, humanity and the courage for a new beginning.
