Seven-year-old Anni lives with her parents in a large apartment building. Because her parents have little time, she sometimes feels lonely - but fortunately, many other families with plenty of children live in the building. Whether it's football, jump rope, flying kites, or building caves - something is always happening. At Grandma Menk's, the most beautiful fairy tale records play, Kerstin's mother bakes the best piroshki, and the dachshund Ina loves to run off.

A house full of children's noise and neighborhood gossip - grey on the outside, colorful on the inside. The play offers glimpses through keyholes into very different families and shows what it's like when doors are usually open and the air smells of favorite food.
