Development policy film and discussion series FERN:WELT:NAH 19

The documentary Trotz alledem (2025, directed by Robert Krieg) follows women in war-torn Rojava (northern Syria) who, despite ruins and ongoing threats, are building something new: establishing villages, teaching, opening workshops, and fighting for freedom and equality. Following the screening, there will be conversations and discussion with invited guests.

The FERN:WELT:NAH series brings social and ecological issues to the fore over four evenings, showcases practices of resistance, and discusses conditions for transformative change. Various development-focused organizations invite participation.

Registration not required. Free admission.
