Ines Geipel, author and publicist, presents her book and examines gaps in the memory of Buchenwald. The discourse of memory in East and West was weighted differently in time and content - yet Geipel advocates for a shared German-German reckoning: traumas can neither be suppressed nor whitewashed.

The event takes place in cooperation with Gegen Vergessen - Für Demokratie e.V. Frankfurt Rhein-Main and the Hessian Centre for Political Education.
