Prijatelji | Balkan Independent Folk

Prijatelji (meaning: Friends) play Balkan folk their own way - sometimes melancholic, sometimes with a driving rhythm. Search for the band online and you'll find shaky smartphone videos alongside dancing and singing crowds, plus plenty of "sold out" signs.

The lineup brings together orchestra musicians, indie experts, and folk instrumentalists: violin, mandolin, guitars, and percussion. Half the band comes from the traditional Balkan music scene, the other half from the indie world - a combination that creates musical roller coasters. Their repertoire mixes original compositions with traditional songs, folk, rock, and film music, all processed in their own distinctive Prijatelji style.
