ELSA

ELSA is a four-piece band led by Viennese singer and songwriter Elsa Steixner. Raised in an artistic household in Vienna, she brings an openness that runs through all her music. "Her distinctive voice grabs the ear from the first encounter with her songs. She creates an immediate sense of trust, hypnotizing listeners so they cannot help but follow her stories" (Samir H. Köck, Die Presse).

With her second album JUMP!, the band moves between accessibility and mystery, between intuition and musical finesse. On stage, the chemistry between the four musicians is palpable - their mutual trust creates space for freedom, genuine vulnerability, and playfulness. With a keen sense of dynamics, they stretch songs, provoke deliberate silence, and then with unexpected urgency make clear they mean business.

The band has won multiple awards, received a nomination for the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards, won the audience prize at Jazz Festival Avignon (FR), and was selected for the Dutch showcase festival Popronde (NL). In 2025, ELSA performed at venues including Porgy & Bess Vienna, the Vienna Concert Hall, and as part of the Vienna Festival, as well as at Abbey Road Studios in London.
