Midlife Crisis - English Comedy Solo Special by Shahin Asmari

Midlife Crisis is the debut solo special of Iranian comedian Shahin Asmari - in English, on stage, and with a story he has wanted to tell for a long time.

Shahin was born in Iran and spent much of his adult life making decisions that made perfect sense to him - but far less to everyone else. He studied English literature against all expectations, left a secure banking career, moved abroad, and eventually abandoned corporate life to perform English-language stand-up in Europe. For over a decade, he has swum against the current. Now at 35, he calls his first special Midlife Crisis. The reason? Iranians don't have the same life expectancy as Europeans. And he already had his quarter-life crisis when he left Iran.

On October 16, 2026 at 8 p.m., the special has its world premiere at Kultur Palast Harburg before embarking on a European tour in 2027.
