Prellbockfest and Rothenburg Railway Days

The Rothenburg/O.L. Narrow-Gauge Railway Association organizes the Prellbockfest on the historic railway grounds in Rothenburg/O.L. - this year for the first time together with the Rothenburg Railway Days. Motor units of the BR 772 series run directly from Cottbus main station to the event.

The programme includes special rides on a historic steam locomotive and a folk festival with activities for the whole family. Tickets for the steam train with the BR 86 locomotive are available on site; it runs at least twice daily from Rothenburg via Niesky to Görlitz and back.

Boarding is possible in Cottbus, Calau, Großräschen, Senftenberg, Hosena, Lauta, Hoyerswerda, Niesky and Rothenburg. Beverages are offered on board - including beer from the Landskron Brewery Manufactory Görlitz, mineral water and Bauer fruit juices from Bad Liebenwerda. Since the proceeds from on-board sales support vehicle maintenance, please do not bring your own drinks.

The trip will only take place if the minimum number of participants is reached; in case of cancellation, the fare will be fully refunded. Current departure times at www.ldcev.de.
