Patrik Nederkoorn - "Die orangene Gefahr"
RuhrHOCHdeutsch Spiegelzelt, Dortmund, Germany
"Die orangene Gefahr - Die Holländer kommen" is the first German-language performance by Dutch cabaret artist Patrik Nederkoorn. The premise: what happens when 17 million orange climate refugees, displaced by rising sea levels, roll across the border in caravans on the left lane into Germany - and will the Germans be ready to welcome their beloved Dutch neighbors? Developed in collaboration with Haus der Springmaus in Bonn, the programme is an amusing and bittersweet examination of the quirks of both nations and the theme of migration in the age of climate change.
Text and performance: Patrik Nederkoorn
Composition and piano: Guido van de Meent
Direction: Ralf Lohr
Co-direction: This Maag
