Improtheater Karlsruhe Presents: Undercover: Planet Earth

A semester abroad on Earth - for an alien, that sounds like the perfect adventure. There is only one rule: nobody must find out that it is not human.

At Friedenstraße 2, extraterrestrial naivety meets the everyday reality of a shared apartment. Between cleaning schedules, parties, rent payments, dating, and the eternal question of who takes out the trash, our alien tries to get through the semester as inconspicuously as possible. How do you explain why you can't eat? Why you don't sleep at night? Or why the sight of a microwave suddenly triggers panic?

The new show by the Improtheater Karlsruhe ensemble tells of cultural misunderstandings and absurd everyday situations - while casting a wry eye on human quirks and social rules we take for granted. As with every improv show, the piece emerges spontaneously from ideas and suggestions from the audience: nothing is planned, everything is possible.
