About: Son Rompe Pera

Son Rompe Pera is a Mexican band that blends cumbia, punk and psychobilly with virtuoso marimba playing. The Gama brothers started out as kids playing traditional marimba, then punk took over - and the result is what they call garage-cumbia-marimba-punk. Live, they mix Mexican, Peruvian and Colombian classics with original songs and unexpected covers, keeping the dance floor moving throughout.
