J.S. Bach: St. Matthew Passion

Bach's St. Matthew Passion will resound on 21 March 2027 at Hauptkirche St. Michaelis in Hamburg. Matthäus-Passion brings the work to this celebrated Hamburg cathedral, one of the finest examples of North German Baroque architecture from the 18th century. The church regularly hosts classical concerts and organ recitals, and its acoustics are well suited to this monumental composition. The performance is part of the artist's German tour, which also includes a date in Berlin on 25 March. The Michel's distinctive dome and rich interior decoration will provide a fitting setting for this classical masterwork.
