Carmina Burana at Serenadenhof Nürnberg

Carl Orff's cantata "Carmina Burana" will be performed on Tuesday, 18 August 2026 at 19:30 in Serenadenhof Nürnberg. One of the most recognizable choral works of the twentieth century, it will sound in the open-air setting of this historic venue. Nürnberg hosts one of two German dates for this project — the second is scheduled for February 2027 in Essen. Orff's monumental cantata combines medieval Latin and German texts with music full of drama and energy, creating one of the most frequently performed classical works.
