Studio Ghibli in Concert - A symphonic homage to the best of Japanese anime

Studio Ghibli in Concert arrives in Nürnberg on Thursday, 8 October 2026 at 19:30 at Meistersingerhalle. This is one of four German dates on the studio's tour, which also includes Stuttgart, Berlin, and Mannheim. Meistersingerhalle is the city's principal concert and congress hall, opened in 1963 and named after Richard Wagner's opera. The main hall seats approximately 2,000 guests and serves as home to the Nuremberg Philharmonic Orchestra. The symphonic evening celebrates music from Studio Ghibli's acclaimed animated films — the orchestra will perform the most beautiful themes from works such as "My Neighbor Totoro", "Spirited Away", and "Princess Mononoke", musical masterpieces composed by Joe Hisaishi and other creators.
