Love, Gunshots, Madness - Music and Narration — Schulungshaus bei Hamburg Wasser, Hamburg

The wonderful chamber music series "Vergessene Noten" (Forgotten Notes) was conceived by Benno Ure and Marietta Kratz. For many years, Benno Ure has been researching the fates and works of forgotten composers through remarkable and often adventurous means. The quality of these completely unjustly overlooked musical works is striking. They are performed by a top-calibre ensemble, and Benno Ure's narrations are informative, gripping, witty and moving in equal measure.

The programme "Love, Gunshots, Madness" centres on moments that change lives. The "Ensemble Vergessene Noten" draws a line between the drama of events and the power of music: love that strikes like lightning, gunshots in war, and madness born of great disappointment.

Works by Karl Goldmark, Hans Pfitzner, Louis Vierne, Alberic Magnard, Leone Sinigaglia and Alexander von Zemlinsky will be performed.
