Love, Gunshots, Madness - Music and Moderation — Schulungshaus bei Hamburg Wasser, Hamburg

The chamber music series "Forgotten Notes" was conceived by Benno Ure and Marietta Kratz. Ure has spent years researching the fates and works of forgotten composers - pieces of high quality that have unjustly fallen into obscurity. They are performed by a top-tier ensemble; Ure's moderations illuminate the background informatively and with a personal touch.

The programme "Love, Gunshots, Madness" revolves around moments that change lives: love that strikes like lightning, gunshots in war, madness following great disappointment. The ensemble creates an arc between the drama of these events and the power of music.

Works by Karl Goldmark, Hans Pfitzner, Louis Vierne, Alberic Magnard, Leone Sinigaglia and Alexander von Zemlinsky will be heard.

Performers:
Benno Ure - moderation, author of "How Mozart Got Shot"
Marietta Kratz - violin, deputy concertmaster of the NDR-Elbphilharmonie Orchestra
Valentin Priebus - cello, NDR-Elbphilharmonie Orchestra
Henning Lucius - piano, sought-after chamber music partner
