Alstersingers - A Choral Evening

A new partnership brings us together with the choir "Die Alstersingers", founded in 2023. The choir has its roots in a voice training course at the VHS in Haus Alstertal. Under the direction of Naomi Inoue, the group set itself a new, ambitious goal after their successful debut in Poppenbüttel in February 2026: a cappella singing.

The choir is currently on an exciting musical journey, discovering the sound worlds of early music and musical theatre through the power of voices. The evening's highlight will be a medley from "Les Misérables" - one of the most moving works of musical theatre. The music tells of human fates, of suffering and injustice, but also of hope, courage and the strength of community. Between quiet despair and awakening confidence, a sound world unfolds that touches the heart directly.

A particular challenge lies in telling the dramatic story of "Les Misérables" without stage action, solely through the emotional power of voices - as a powerful expression of "Voices of Hope".

Naomi Inoue - Choir Direction

Naomi Inoue is a trained concert singer and qualified voice teacher. She directs the "Alstersingers" choir course at VHS-Haus Alstertal and also works as a pedagogue at a music school.
