10th International Jazzhaus Piano Competition "In Memoriam Waldi Heidepriem"

Every two years, the International Jazzhaus Piano Competition takes place as part of the Freiburger Jazzfestival, honouring the memory of Jazzhaus founding chairman and pianist Waldi Heidepriem. The competition has steadily grown into a distinctive event on the international jazz calendar. 2026 marks its 10th edition. Past winners such as Vincent Meissner, Florian Favre, David Tixier, Lajos Toth and Rainer Böhm speak to the consistently high standard.
