From 12 to 16 August 2026, around 300 gymnasts will compete for world titles at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt's Festhalle.

All eyes will be on Darja Varfolomeev. The 18-year-old claimed five German championship titles at the Finals in Dresden, making her the most decorated athlete of the entire multi-sport event. At the 2023 World Championships she swept all five available gold medals, then won Olympic gold in Paris in 2024 - and was subsequently named Germany's Sportswoman of the Year.
