"Getting old is something only other people do!"

Claudia Jacobacci stumbles into menopause - perimenopause, to be precise - completely unprepared, and suddenly finds herself a stranger to her own life. That this phase leaves no woman literally "cold" is what she brings to the stage in her solo show "the hot years", with plenty of wit and a fair share of frustration.

From the first denial - "Menopause? Ugh! I still get my period!" - to discovering new possibilities in this chapter of life, it's quite a journey... a well-worn path with highs and lows.

As tempting as eternal spring may be, it only has one May! So she buckles up for the hormonal rollercoaster heading toward late summer - always facing the sun, naturally, with a glass of sparkling mineral water in hand... Welcome to menopause!

About the artist:
Claudia Jacobacci was born and raised in a suburb of Frankfurt, then spent many years in Bavaria from 2000 onwards. She was a member of the Münchener Lach- und Schießgesellschaft ensemble. From 2008 she appeared in numerous productions with the "Barock am Main" ensemble in Frankfurt, co-founded by Michael Quast. As a writer and performer she is a regular guest on literary stages and in the independent theatre scene. She toured France and Germany with her own dance theatre project. Claudia Jacobacci is also a versatile voice artist - and is now back in Frankfurt.
