Poetry Slam Köpenick

Poetry Slam - a modern competition blending poetry, comedy, and spoken word - has evolved from pub nights into major venues and UNESCO World Heritage recognition over recent years.

Since 2019, fifteen spoken word artists have competed at freiheit for the audience's favour and a prize pot that spectators fill with jokes, valuables, and love letters. The rules are straightforward: texts must be original, a time limit applies, props and costumes are forbidden - everything else is allowed.
