Stenzel & Kivits
Konzertsaal Friedenskapelle, Münster, Germany
26.4 €
Tenor Stenzel and Mister Kivits have shared the stage since 2000. Their show blends classical arias and operatic singing with anarchic slapstick - music stands start dancing, piano stools topple, and the grand piano seems to be learning to fly.
For their anniversary, the duo developed "The Flying Concert", a programme that makes room for swinging classics alongside opera and serious music - a touch of Michael Bublé, a hint of Sinatra. Custom-built instruments and sharp comedy sit alongside playing of the highest virtuosic standard.
Tenor Stenzel, alias Tiny van den Eijnden, came to the stage in 1993 after training in theatre and music. Wilbert Kivits studied piano and light music at the Maastricht Conservatory and works as a pianist, composer, arranger and teacher. In recent years the duo has appeared at numerous festivals in the Netherlands, across Europe, and on German cabaret stages.
Their first appearance at the Friedenskapelle was in 2024 - now they are back.
