Stenzel & Kivits

Tenor Stenzel and Mister Kivits have been performing together since 2000 - captivating audiences with a unique blend of musical virtuosity and anarchic humour.

They are known in the scene for exceptional musicality in classical and operatic arias, as well as for their wild stage genius, where music stands begin to dance, piano stools topple over, and grand pianos seem to learn to fly.

To mark their anniversary, Stenzel & Kivits have broadened their musical horizons and developed "The Flying Concert" - a programme that embraces the world of light, uplifting music alongside classical and operatic works. Swinging classics now share the stage with opera and classical pieces - a touch of Michael Bublé, a hint of Sinatra. Through custom-built instruments, perfectly timed comic interludes, and breathtaking madness, they unite virtuosity and slapstick at the highest level.

At their first guest performance at the Friedenskapelle in 2024, Stenzel & Kivits already delighted audiences. Their return is eagerly anticipated. Tenor Stenzel, known as Tiny van den Eijnden, found his way to the stage in 1993 after completing studies in theatre and music. Wilbert Kivits studied piano and light music at the Maastricht Conservatory and works as a pianist, composer, arranger, and educator.

In recent years, they have performed at numerous festivals in the Netherlands, across Europe, and successfully on German chamber music stages.
