Anouk is a kind and helpful girl with one weakness: she really doesn't like going to bed. So her parents are all the more surprised when she suddenly starts heading to bed each evening with great excitement. What they don't know is that every night a magical door opens for Anouk into a world of adventure. She joins pirates on a treasure hunt, faces challenges in the jungle, meets colourful characters at a fairground, and helps other children through difficult moments. When she tells her parents about her experiences the next morning, they always say: "Sweetheart, you just dreamed all of that!" But Anouk has proof - and her grandmother seems to know more than she lets on.

The musical is aimed at children aged four and up. The script was written by Georg Veit and Hendrikje Balsmeyer, with music by Peter Maffay & Freunde - including ten children's songs, most of them composed especially for this production. Six performers slip into more than 20 different roles with the help of imaginative costumes, while a clever lighting design brings the story to life on stage.
