The Berlin group returns to SommerMusik Schloss Rheydt for the anniversary

"We want to see you" - cheered 1,500 fans who experienced Culcha Candela at SommerMusik 2022 in Rheydter Schloss. For the Berlin musicians themselves, it was "one of our best shows ever". For SommerMusik organizer Günter vom Dorp, the matter was clear: "This amazing concert will happen again" - and now the date is set. On August 23rd, they take the SommerMusik stage for the third time in Mönchengladbach.

After a long career, Culcha Candela are something like Germany's "good vibes dinosaurs". But despite all the partying and danceable hits, they have never lost their passion for music and continue to evolve.

Culcha Candela create an explosive blend of reggae, dancehall, salsa, and hip-hop that gets everyone moving. On stage, the full potential of these guys unfolds as they sing in German, English, Spanish, and Patois, captivating the crowd with their infectious rhythms.

With over five million records sold, nearly 35 gold and platinum certifications, and more than 1,500 live shows, Culcha Candela may not reinvent themselves, but they don't need to. The Berlin cult collective has repeatedly shown in recent years that with playful ease - now as always - they can pull energetic club bangers and meaningful hits from their sleeves. After nearly a quarter century in show business, the band continues to tour sold-out halls, delivered the title track for the 2023 European Handball Championship in Germany ("Celebration"), and celebrated the 15th anniversary of the mega-hit "MONSTA" in late 2024 / early 2025 with the "MONSTA 15" EP and the massive "MONSTA TOUR". For a legend of hip-hop, reggae, and Latin music, stagnation and pop-star retirement are simply (still) not options.
