Das Feuerschiff

A lightship holds a fixed position on the open sea, guiding other vessels as a navigational aid - if that signal were to fail, the consequences would be dire. On its final watch, a lightship anchored in the Baltic Sea takes in the crew of a boat in distress. But the rescued men are no helpless castaways: they are armed gangsters who put Captain Freytag and his crew under pressure with impossible demands. Freytag wants to resolve the situation peacefully, without the ship abandoning its position - whether the other side will agree is another matter entirely.

The first part of the evening takes place as a "site-specific" performance in cooperation with the Küstenmuseum Wilhelmshaven.
