IC FALKENBERG - Concert for the New Album "KOMM AN LAND" - Acoustic Version
Kulturkirche St. Jakobi Stralsund, Germany
36 €
IC FALKENBERG performs the programme from his current album "KOMM AN LAND" in a minimalist acoustic version. Accompanied only by piano and guitar, he sings his new songs and, of course, his classics.
IC FALKENBERG writes, sings, and plays piano. He grapples with great themes and brings them into his real world beyond the excesses of party culture. He takes a stand - openly and without excuses. Over 50 years of stage presence and 28 albums speak for themselves, as does Falkenberg's musical versatility.
IC FALKENBERG has been on stage since the age of ten. In the eighties, he was the singer, composer, and lyricist of the band Stern Meissen, helping them achieve the most successful period in their history. Soon, in the mid-eighties, under the stage name IC FALKENBERG, he becomes one of the most successful and popular artists in East Germany, selling over 250,000 copies of each of his first two solo albums.
IC FALKENBERG's concerts are unrepeatable moments - he weaves his open-hearted intimacy and touching melancholy with humorous stories. Despite his demanding themes, he maintains an unobtrusive lightness. He masters the balance, sounding sensitive but never sentimental.
"...he looks back on a life in which rebellion and self-assertion were always the driving forces, and on a career - as exciting and full of twists as the history of the times" (Markus Fitsch - mdr kultur)
"Once a teenage idol, IC Falkenberg is today a voice of warning and an intellectual. A transformation over 50 years of music" (Schall Musikmagazin)
"Dreamy sounds of a creative poet: ideal fodder for feuilletons... this man possesses enormous linguistic and musical range, he should be heard" (Musikexpress)
"Hardly any German singer writes as abstractly and associatively as he does" (Berliner Zeitung)
A poet who sings here.
