Das Kalendermädchen

A psychological thriller based on the novel by Sebastian Fitzek

Eleven years ago, Alma was given up for adoption under mysterious circumstances. One condition of the adoption was that the identity of her biological parents must never be revealed. Now, however, she is critically ill and urgently needs a bone marrow donor. In desperation, her mother Olivia sets out to find the biological parents - with no idea of the terrifying depths that await her.

She stumbles upon the legend of the "Kalendermädchen": a young woman who, years ago at Christmastime, retreated to a remote cottage seeking peace. There, she was hunted by a psychopath who forced her to open an advent calendar of horrors.

Olivia realizes she must travel to that traumatized town, enter that cottage, and find the psychopath - if she is to save her daughter.
