Bernd Gieseking hosts an evening with Hans Zippert and Thomas C. Breuer. Two Ostwestphalians meet one from Bad Ems who now lives in Rottweil! These three tireless masters of comedy are heading to Hannover's TAK - one of Germany's most charming small-stage venues. Jan from TAK spotted the trio at the Open Flair Festival, where the "three older gentlemen" rocked the cabaret tent.
Hans Zippert, born in Bielefeld, spent five years as editor-in-chief of Titanic magazine. For 25 years he has written "Zippert zappt", his legendary column appearing in "Welt", "Welt am Sonntag" and "Hörzu". He is the anarchist on page one, winner of the Henri Nannen Prize among other awards. For many years he also wrote some of the finest scenes for Maren Kroymann's TV series. He recently appeared in cinemas as an expert in a new documentary about Swiss comedian Emil Steinberger. But his never-ending opus magnum remains the daily column "Zippert zappt" - what began as media criticism has become a bible of satirical commentary on German society.
Thomas C. Breuer is an author and cabaret artist based in southern Germany, with a strong following in Switzerland. He is a cabaret performer, writer and passionate radio maker - responsible for countless features, commentaries and presenting credits - one of the great names in German cabaret. His latest texts on the theme "Gesünder kränkeln" have just been published.
Bernd Gieseking, Ostwestphalian and part-time Hanoverian, is a regular at TAK with his programmes, always kicking off the year with "Ab dafür!", his political year-in-review show. His new book "Seepferdchen mit 60 - Bekenntnisse eines sportlichen Spätzünders" has been praised in Hannover's "Stadtkind" - it includes his ascent of the Zugspitze, a nightmare for him but a "dream come true" for his partner. As he puts it: "A man can achieve anything - if his woman wants him to."
What unites the three is their shared passion for comedy and for the written and spoken word.
