Ireen Sheer, born in Romford, England, to an English father and a German mother, has been one of the most recognizable stars in German and European music for decades. Hits like "Goodbye Mama", "Heute Abend hab ich Kopfweh", "Xanadu" and "Tennessee Waltz" charted internationally; over a 60-year career she has released more than 20 albums and over 110 singles.

She has received numerous awards for her achievements, including the "Golden Microphone", the "Silver Otto" and the "Golden Tuning Fork" twice. She also published her autobiography "Jetzt oder nie".

The evening "Höchstpersönlich" shows a different side of Ireen Sheer: together with her husband, she opens her private photo album and music archive. In conversation with host Andrea Jung, the result is a journey through her life and 60 years of show business - accompanied by personal photographs, musical rarities and some of her greatest hits performed live.
