Footloose - The Musical

Footloose - Musical, directed and choreographed by Iris Limbarth, takes the stage at Freilichtbühne Meppen in Meppen on Friday, 21 August 2026. The production follows Ren McCormack, a teenager who fights for the right to dance and play music in a small town. This is one of two German dates on the artist's tour. The show features hits like "Footloose" and "I Need a Hero", drawing from the iconic 1980s film. The stage adaptation was written by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, with music by Tom Snow, lyrics by Dean Pitchford, and additional songs by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman.
