based on the book by Otfried Preußler
Music: Martin Lingnau, lyrics: Heiko Wohlgemuth

Direction and choreography: Iris Limbarth

Freilichtbühne Meppen brings Hotzenplotz to the open-air stage in 2026: Grandma's coffee grinder has been stolen, Kasperl and Seppl set off in pursuit, and the sorcerer Petrosilius Zwackelmann stirs up plenty of trouble. Otfried Preußler's beloved story comes to life as a musical comedy full of slapstick and wit.

Directed by Iris Limbarth, musical direction by Jason Weaver - music by Martin Lingnau, text by Heiko Wohlgemuth.
