Gainesville were founded in May 2019 by a group of experienced and passionate musicians.

Gainesville is Tom Petty's hometown - and this band is Germany's only tribute act dedicated to him. Expect all the hits everyone knows, alongside rarer tracks and songs that shaped Petty's musical journey: rock'n'roll from Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran and The Byrds, with the occasional surprise thrown in.
