TRAGICOMEDY - A stage production

Henri Boulanger is a man plagued by misfortune. After being fired without notice, he sees no way out and decides to end his life - yet even that fails. Neither rope nor gas work. So he hires a contract killer instead.

Fueled by alcohol and newfound fearlessness, Henri meets Margaret, a flower seller. Suddenly life seems worth living again - if only the killer weren't still out there.

Aki Kaurismäki tells this story with melancholic humour and absurd twists.
