TRAGICOMEDY - a stage adaptation of a film script

Henri Boulanger is a man down on his luck. After being fired without notice, he sees no way out and decides to end his life - but even that fails. Neither rope nor gas oven works. So he hires a professional killer.

Emboldened by alcohol and newfound fearlessness, Henri meets Margaret, a flower seller. Suddenly life seems worth living again - if only the killer weren't in the picture. Aki Kaurismäki tells this story with melancholic humour and absurd twists.
