Summer at its finest - Schanz invites you for the second time to Golden Summer Night.
A warm August evening, cool drinks in hand, and live music under open sky. What more could you want? This year will be not just beautiful, but legendary.
Modern blues-rock band Best Before Now celebrates their fifth anniversary - and returns to the place where it all began. At SCHANZ they played their debut concert and presented their first album "Wake Up" to a nearly sold-out crowd. Since then, much has changed: with the EP "Flower Power Road" they developed their sound further - bolder, more mature, more powerful. Their first music video for "My Strong Old Tree" was shot in Frankfurt. And now they're stepping up to the next level: their new songs were produced by Bob Cooper in his studio in Leeds (England) - and sound bigger, punchier, and more intense than ever.
At Golden Summer Night they bring their freshly released works to the stage live for the first time. Five years of band history. One night. Full of energy.
The second absolute highlight will be Grand Dad's Dad. No retro, no revival, no bullshit - just solid, punchy and direct! They play in nearly their original lineup. Their programme between Nirvana's fury and Pearl Jam's melancholy will be a true grunge-rock experience.
The evening opens with Lovehunter. The acoustic trio has been performing on small and large stages across the region since 2005 and knows how to breathe new life into rock classics. With great feeling and surprising arrangements, they give well-known songs a completely unique character.
All of this takes place under open sky, in summer temperatures, with wood-fired pizza and cool drinks in the beer garden. As the sun slowly sets and the lights come on, it becomes clear: this is more than a concert - this is a Golden Summer Night.
