Jazzfieber featuring Mariam Lazizi

The quartet "Jazzfieber" formed in 2024 from members of the university big band Xyjazz. Their sound is earthy and groove-driven, built around catchy saxophone themes and inspired by hardbop pioneers like the "Adderley Brothers" and "Eddie Harris", as well as musicians of the 90s. The set mixes well-known standards with original compositions.

Guest vocalist Mariam Lazizi joins them - known from the "Mariam Lazizi Quartett", with musical roots in jazz and world music. Her warm, multi-layered voice fits naturally into the quartet's sound.
