The 50th anniversary concert of LJSO Hessen takes place on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at 11:00 in the hr-Sendesaal of Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. Conductor Nicolás Pasquet leads the orchestra at this milestone moment-one of two German dates on his tour. The concert hall, built in the 1950s as the home of the public broadcaster's radio recordings and live transmissions, brings together former and current members of LJSO on a single stage. The hr-Sendesaal is the main concert hall of Hessischer Rundfunk, the public broadcaster of the German state of Hesse, located on the broadcaster's campus in Frankfurt. Built in the 1950s, it was designed with exceptional acoustics for radio recordings and live broadcasts. Today it serves as the home stage of the hr-Sinfonieorchester and regularly hosts classical concerts open to the public.
