Piano Recital by Krystian Zimerman

Hörtnagel Konzerte Nürnberg - Meisterkonzerte Season 2026/27
1. Meisterkonzert: Piano Recital by Krystian Zimerman

Krystian Zimerman won the Chopin Competition in 1975 and soon became the preferred pianist of Leonard Bernstein and Herbert von Karajan. Today he ranks among the most significant pianists of his generation - and performs deliberately rarely: instead of many concerts, he prepares a few programmes with extraordinary care.

Meistersingerhalle is one of the halls whose acoustics Zimerman knows well. He already opened the Hörtnagel Meisterkonzerte here in 2023; the Nürnberger Nachrichten wrote at the time: "What Krystian Zimerman achieves here through touch and pedal technique alone is breathtaking".

The programme will be announced at a later date.
