WORK LIFE WHAT?
Kabarett Die Oderhähne, Frankfurt (Oder), Germany
32 €
Stand Up. Cabaret. Beatbox.
A world premiere: the first show to combine stand-up, cabaret and beatbox in a single performance. Comedians Daniel Heinz and Michael Frowin meet Daniel Mandolini, aka Mando Beatbox - entertainer, loop-station artist and beatbox world champion.
THREE GUYS. ONE MOTEL. NO SIGNAL.
Daniel and Michael are stuck somewhere between career, crisis and a calendar that never stops. Driven by "I have to" and "I have to let go", they just want to switch off before a big gig. The plan: luxury, wellness, quiet. The reality: a motel in the middle of nowhere. There they run into Mando - armed with an entire universe of beats, sounds and music. Caught between work and life, yoga and nervous breakdown, lotus blossom and fits of laughter, every certainty starts to crumble. What opens up instead is a world of absurd encounters and unexpected revelations.
WORK LIFE WHAT?
A satirical self-experiment about the daily tightrope walk of modern life. A highly comic trip to the question of all questions: was that already life - or is there more to come? Laughter guaranteed - enlightenment optional.
Directed by: Hans Holzbecher
A production for the anniversary year: 50 years of Die Oderhähne
