What began in the summer of 2021 as a spontaneous idea from two young dancers in Öhringen has evolved into an extraordinary event concept. During a shared cinema evening with "The Greatest Showman," a question arose: why are films accompanied by live orchestras, yet never danced live? The answer came quickly.

After intensive discussions with dance schools and creative planning, "Kino 'ver' tanzt" celebrated its triumphant premiere in May 2023 at Kultura Öhringen. Before over 1,000 enthusiastic spectators, the film was shown in its full length on a large screen - and every dance scene was simultaneously performed live by multiple dance groups in front of the screen. Cinema, dance, and emotion merged into a unique experience.

After a creative break and extensive preparation, 2026 finally brings the moment: "Kino 'ver' tanzt" returns - this time in the Stadthalle Leonberg. Under the artistic direction of Franziska Hader, who led the creative vision in 2023, the Stadthalle transforms into an atmospheric cinema hall of a special kind. Six dance schools from the region between Leonberg and Hohenlohe bring the captivating film "The Greatest Showman" with passion, diversity, and dancing precision live to the stage.
