No other photographer has accompanied the Dalai Lama as closely and for as long as Manuel Bauer. In his compelling talk "90 Years of the Dalai Lama - 35 Years of Photography", the acclaimed Swiss photographer takes us on a personal journey through the life story of the 14th Dalai Lama - told through images and moving moments.

For over three decades, Bauer has documented the public work and private life of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The Dalai Lama has allowed the Swiss photographer to work in his immediate circle and to be present even when doors were closed to everyone else. The result is a unique, intimate portrait of a remarkable individual - deeply affecting, while also offering insight into Tibetan history, Tibetan Buddhism, and the political challenges of life in exile.

The lecture weaves together striking photography, personal recollections, and behind-the-scenes stories.
