De Randfichten - the cult band from the Erzgebirge!

The band from the Erzgebirge mountains has more than 30 years behind them. Their big breakthrough came in 2004 with the hit "Lebt denn der alte Holzmichl noch", which became a cult song well beyond Saxony and made De Randfichten known across Europe. Countless TV appearances and concerts in large venues in Germany and abroad followed.

Recent years brought setbacks too: in 2014, the lead singer left the group after many years together, briefly putting the band's future in doubt. They bounced back, bringing Marion Frank on board as a new voice - and the fans stayed loyal. The third album with this line-up was released for the band's 30th anniversary in 2022 under the title "Hurra wir sind noch da".

The programme features folk tunes from the Erzgebirge, original songs, and party classics in the distinctive Randfichten sound.
