De Randfichten - The Cult Band from the Ore Mountains!

Over 30 years of history stand behind this legendary group from the German Ore Mountains region. It is a unique success story in the German music scene. From a small ensemble playing at village and town festivals, they rose to the top. The big breakthrough came in 2004 with the hit "Lebt denn der alte Holzmichl noch". The song about Holzmichl became an absolute cult hit, known far beyond the borders of Saxony and recognized throughout Europe.

Randfichten are trees growing on the edge of the forest, which due to their exposed position are particularly subject to weather influences and must be exceptionally resilient and hardy.

For many years De Randfichten performed at numerous television festivals and in large concert halls throughout Germany and abroad, exciting audiences with their authentic and energetic sound. But in recent years they have faced several hardships. In 2014, the frontman left the band after many years of working together, threatening the band's existence. But they bounced back and showed the determination characteristic of people from the Ore Mountains, bringing a woman into the fold. Marion Frank now stands at the microphone for De Randfichten, and it turned out that the decision to continue was the right one. Fans remained loyal to them.

The result of this collaboration is already the third album in this line-up, released for the 30th anniversary in 2022 under the title "Hurra wir sind noch da". The programme features a mix of lively folk melodies from the Ore Mountains, original songs and party classics in the band's typical modern style.
