William Wahl - wahlweise

"wahlweise" is William Wahl's third show. His cabaret songs have sold out venues across Germany and racked up millions of plays online. His wordplay reliably brings the house down, but it's the particular blend of poetry and comedy that lets him play the full range of human emotion - and that's exactly why he fully deserves the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis 2026 in the music category.

His piano songs have a bittersweet edge: for all his sharp-eyed observation of human weakness, he never loses his affectionate view of life. In the song "Rein versehentlich einvernehmlich", among others, he suggests that we might just get this love thing right after all. Despite everything.
