1999 Meters Above the Sea

Deception can be liberating - at least for a while. Following the success of "22 Bahnen", "Windstärke 17", and "Die Assistentin", Caroline Wahl turns her attention in her new novel 1999 Meters Above the Sea (Rowohlt 2026) to a young woman determined to reach great heights.

With striking orange hair, she travels from Bali through Berlin to St. Moritz, posing as an artist and moving with surprising confidence through the world of the rich and beautiful - until a man with ice-blue eyes threatens to unravel everything.

A return visit from Literaturherbst audience favorite Caroline Wahl.
