You can't step into the same river twice, Heraclitus said - everything that exists is in constant flux. Think of Stuttgart 21 and you'll see the old Greek had a point.

"All being is becoming" - that's the conclusion Urban Priol regularly reaches when he sits down to write his press release just before the deadline.

Like a river in perpetual motion, his current show never stands still. With eagle eyes, the cabaret artist tracks the relentless flow of political events - from the stagnant waters of the grand coalition, through the meandering trickle of the traffic-light government, down to the murky shallows of the far-right swamp. Priol always has his finger on the pulse: spontaneous and up-to-the-minute, he often lands his jokes faster than his own shadow can think. He rumbles, thunders, flashes - and like a cleansing storm, makes many things shine in a bright, cheerful light. Boundlessly, the master of parody ploughs through the night, cuts through complex political tangles and turns opaque, muddy whirlpools into clear spring water. He throws himself into the waves of daily madness with gusto, dives into the depths of the absurd, mocks with relish - and has just as much fun doing it as his audience.
