60 years of Figuralchor Frankfurt - anniversary concert

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's "Elijah" is one of the most important oratorios in music history. The work brings together the Baroque traditions of Bach and Handel with Romantic expressiveness - in monumental choral scenes, intimate arias and dramatic recitatives. The choir takes centre stage: as a commenting crowd, a voice of faith, and the driving force of the piece.

For this anniversary concert, "Elijah" will be performed by the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck alongside outstanding soloists.
