With Elijah, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy created one of the most important oratorios in music history and a cornerstone of Romantic choral repertoire. Monumental choral scenes, intimate arias and dramatic recitatives weave together the Baroque traditions of Bach and Handel with Romantic expressiveness into a compelling sacred narrative. The choir stands at the heart of it all - as the commenting crowd, the voice of faith, and the driving force of the work.

For the anniversary concert of Figuralchor Frankfurt, Elijah will be performed alongside the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck and outstanding soloists.
