Spanish Impressions - A Tribute to Manuel de Falla - Ensemble Varié, Gisa Michelón, Estela Sanz Posteguillo

Ensemble Varié, together with flamenco artists Gisa Michelón (dance) and Estela Sanz Posteguillo (vocals), pays tribute to Spanish composer Manuel de Falla (1876-1946). He succeeded like no other in blending folkloric and flamenco-inspired elements with classical and impressionist musical language.

The programme features selected works by de Falla as well as compositions by his composer friends Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Isaac Albéniz, and Joaquín Turina. The centrepiece is the flamenco-influenced ballet music "El Amor brujo".
