In a world spinning ever faster, growing louder, where deep connection often slips away, exceptional vocalist Siyou releases an album that is an honest, vulnerable and courageous statement to herself.

"About Me" distils the essence of her work to date - you can hear the full range of experience from her diverse musical projects, from gospel to Siyou'n'Hell. With the wonderful collaboration of her long-time musical companions - Hellmut Hattler (bass), Martin Meixner (organ/piano), Christoph Scherer (percussion) and Insingizi (backing vocals) - and Siyou's brave decision to chart her own course as an independent artist and fund the album through successful crowdfunding, it becomes a deeply personal reckoning of her time with songs that speak of life, love and hope.

Percussive, powerful, emotional, loud and quiet, yet above all utterly authentic, Siyou draws the listener into her cosmos from the very first note. She weaves the album's tracks into a unique blend of gospel, African roots, pop and soul. The songs are energetic, danceable and contemplative all at once.
