Lorenzkirche Nürnberg, Nuremberg, Germany
18 €
R. Marini ranks among the outstanding organists of his generation - a virtuoso with profound musical understanding and a special affinity for the repertoire of Romanticism, Late Romanticism, and modern music. He gained international recognition in 2002 with a complete performance of Max Reger's organ works in 16 recitals, supported by the German Embassy, the Max Reger Institute, and the Italian Bishops' Conference. In 1996, he had already performed the complete organ works of Johann Sebastian Bach. His refined improvisational skills are equally distinctive.
Born in Teramo, Marini began his studies in Rome with F. Germani and completed his organ and composition studies at the Conservatorio "A. Casella" in L'Aquila with top honors. In 1994, he received the prestigious "Premier prix de virtuosité d'Orgue" at the Geneva Conservatory. Beyond his musical career, he holds a degree in law.
As a prize-winner of numerous competitions, Marini has maintained an active international concert career for many years, teaches master classes, and regularly serves as a jury member. His CD recordings have been highly praised by major music journals; recordings for Vatican Radio and RAI are also part of his body of work.
