We were young, in love, full of energy and wanted to see the world... and we listened to, watched, and loved our musical heroes who accompanied us on this journey. We heard their songs everywhere, their music, fashion, and lifestyle were completely different from what our parents showed us! The world belonged to us! We had Bravo magazine cutouts of our idols on our bedroom walls, read about them every day, watched every TV show they appeared in, never missed a "Disco" with Ilja Richter on ZDF, had all the vinyl records in our cabinets to play on our portable mono record players, or recorded all RTL Luxemburg broadcasts on our portable cassette recorders and listened to their greatest hits at every school party, such as:
