Spirit of Soul - The Soul Band & Black Music Party Band

Spirit of Soul is a soul band and black music party band. In June 2016, the band celebrated its 15th anniversary in Mainz during Johannisnacht in front of several thousand guests. Each of the singers has their own powerful and distinctive voice, delivering entertainment of the highest caliber. Together with the backing band, composed of the finest professional musicians from the Rhine-Main region, the band creates a fireworks display of groove and soul.

Under the motto "The finest of Black Music," the repertoire ranges from the great stars of the so-called "Old School" era - James Brown, The Temptations, Kool & The Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, and Marvin Gaye - through the 1980s with Michael Jackson, Montell Jordan, to modern R&B stars like Usher, Taio Cruz, and Pharrell Williams. All eras are blended together, creating a broad repertoire. The musicians don't simply play the original CD versions; they bring a personal touch to each song in their live performances.

The band's musicians have already accompanied stars such as: Lionel Ritchie, Simply Red, Outkast, The Weather Girls, Melanie Thornton (La Bouche), Hartmut Engler (Pur), Gloria Gaynor, La Bouche, Xavier Naidoo, Sabrina Setlur, Glashaus, Rio Reiser, and the musical TOMMY (The Who).
